Student Records and Compliance

The Student Records and Compliance department is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of the University’s arrangements for accuracy and completeness of records, statutory returns and supporting processes.

The compliance team oversees the issue of CAS’s (Confirmation of Acceptance to Study) to international students, responds to requests which are dealt with under Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation and ensures the University’s statutory returns are submitted on time and are accurate.

The department is also responsible for production of the fees tables and associated guidance and ensuring that the University’s course and unit files are up-to-date; this information impacts on the details that appear on a student’s record.

The student records team works in partnership with the schools and deals with registration of continuing students, changes to student records relating to personal or curriculum details, option choices and has oversight of student facing forms.
