SignpostSouthampton Solent University provides a range of services to support your studies:

The Student Hub

Student advisers can offer information, advice and guidance on a range of topics. 

They also provide a selection of leaflets and arrange appointments and access to a wide range of services such as counselling and debt advice.

Learning Resource Centres

Over 600 PCs and a variety of software are available on a first come first served basis, with wireless access and dedicated powered wireless tables for use with your own machine or one of the hire laptops. 

The helpdesk staff are available to assist with any problems or queries you might have when using the any of the computer facilities.

Are you struggling with your studies?

All students at Solent University can access succeed@solent, the University's online guide to becoming a better learner. It offers extensive, practical online tutorials on topics such as academic writing, research and giving presentations.


Study skills support

Our Learning Skills tutor, Carina Buckley who is based in the library, can give you advice on study skills such as referencing, writing and presentation skills.

Students' Union

The Students' Union offers a wide range of services to students from food and drink to advice that’s academic or personal. There are many clubs, societies and organized social events where you can meet other students with similar interests.
