Step up to Wellbeing

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT DUE TO BAD WEATHER THE STEP UP TO WELLBEING EVENTS WILL RELAUNCH IN THE NEW YEAR.

The Step up to Wellbeing initiative is aimed at Students and staff who are looking to improve their own personal fitness and meet new people.

It has been proven that being active could lead to a better quality of life. People are seen to experience benefits in the following areas:

  • Improved long term educational attainment.
  • Increased energy levels.
  • Reduced levels of illness.
  • Improved mental health.
  • Reduced risk of strokes and heart disease.

Some good information to read on the importance of staying active can be found on the Government Health Matters website. Going for a walk at lunchtime is free and one of the easiest ways to get more active, become healthier and get your step count up.

To take part you will need to complete a short PAR-Q form. This is available online,  or can be filled out on the day:
