The Course Cost Support Grant is means tested and available to support students whose courses have compulsory course costs or Final Major Projects (not general costs such as books, stationery, etc).

'Compulsory course cost' information is available on the university website

Examples of compulsory costs are:

  • Course specific equipment e.g. make-up/hair kits; photography equipment; specialist software; uniforms/sports kits, etc.

  • Course trips e.g. gallery, theatre and field trips within the UK and EU.

  • Professional memberships/body endorsements and related exam fees (e.g. NCTJ / REPs).
