About Solent TV

Solent TV is Southampton Solent University's award winning entertainment and documentary web channel, featuring content of all types made by Solent students. 

Appealing to an ever-expanding audience, Solent TV is a showcase of the best student work commissioned by the channel.

Alongside producing high quality media, we are a focus for creativity at Solent, sharing work and building partnerships with the wider Southampton community.

We want to bring the whole community together, and it starts with you!

There are loads of ways you can be involved, from crewing on a production to submitting your own ideas to be commissioned.

Submit your ideas

We accept submissions for new content ideas at any time. Please email your one page treatment to solent.tv@solent.ac.uk. There are also small budgets available to bring your ideas to life.

Be part of a crew

We will advertise vacancies on existing projects when they become available, anything from presenting to shooting, editing to graphic design. This information will be posted here and on our social media.

Key things to consider

All content submitted must be free of any and all uncleared copyrighted material, particularly music.

By submitting your content you confirm that you hold the rights and permissions of all involved with the production to publish the content on Solent TV via YouTube.

You retain all moral rights, intellectual property right and copyright invested in the content, but provide Solent TV with a full licence to, amongst other usage, publish the video via YouTube.
