Digital document requests

Digital DocumentIf you’re interested in placing material on Solent Online Learning (SOL) for your students, you may want to add digitised versions provided by the library.

Links to extracts on reading lists can be added this way using our reading lists software which uploads reading lists on Solent Online Learning. We will ask you first to fill in a digital request form. This can be completed online via the online digital request form or print off a form and send it to your information librarian who will check that we don't already have access to a digital version.

Please note: The usual copyright limits apply ie 10 per cent or one chapter from any one book or one article from any journal issue per unit. In addition works excluded from the HE licence cannot be scanned. For further information on what can and cannot be done with digitised material, please see our what can I do with my digidocs? page.

You should generally create links to documents within library resources rather than upload the document onto Solent Online Learning because of copyright issues. See the factsheet on the copyright pages for further information. Please ask your information librarian for more information.
