Sympodium

In rooms which are considered too large for a Smartboard, Interactive control of the PC with Note Book functions is done through the Sympodium, a desktop monitor that allows the user to control functions and write additional notes on the screen, for example to highlight text in a Powerpoint slideshow, through the use of an attached pen.

Controls on the Sympodium allow you to select colour, though this operational can be done through software available on the PC, along with the options to select shape and size of the pointer.

The software is identical to that found on the Smartboard.  The difference being is that there is no touchscreen control with all interactive functions being done through the attached Pen.  As with the Smartboard you can save anything written on the monitor, including any highlighted text or written comments that you added to your PowerPoint presentations.
