Thursday 30 January 2020 (17:00-18:00)

Are you looking for a summer job with a difference? Are you interested in travelling to the US or Canada working with children 7-17 years old? Last year many students from Southampton spent their summer in the USA or Canada with CCUSA.

The camps offer programs in art, theatre, dance, music, visual arts, film and video, photography, sports, water sports, outdoor adventure, horseback riding and many more.

CCUSA are now recruiting for camp counsellors to work in a range of roles at camps throughout the USA and Canada, and they are coming to Southampton as they have heard this is where the summer camp talent is! They will be doing a talk in the Pod in the Spark building from 5pm-6pm on Thursday 30 January, telling you how you can have a summer of a lifetime this summer! You will work for 9 weeks at camp with all accommodation and food included.

This role could be great if you:

  • Enjoy working with or being around children teaching/assisting anything from Sports, Arts, Drama etc.
  • Will be at least 18 years old by June 1st 2020, and are outgoing, adaptable, flexible, and reliable.
  • Are prepared to work for at least nine weeks from June to August – you must be able to fly before 20 June 2020.
  • You are looking to add/do a student related work placement/gain valuable hands on practical experience increasing your employability for future career moves.
  • Are looking to have a rewarding & amazing summer doing what you love most, and then having the opportunity to see America for up to 30 days after!

Flights, transfers to camp and visas can be arranged through CCUSA with wages varying from $900-$2000 dependant on age and whether or not you arrange your own flight or do this with CCUSA. Registration and visa fees do apply.

To find out more, come along to the Pod, The Spark Building at 5pm on Thursday 30 January and see if this could be the great way for you to spend your summer, earn and travel to and around the USA or Canada.
