Reviewing performance and reporting

Health and safety is a management responsibility, and schools and services are required to formally review their health and safety performance once a year.

As part of this review schools and services must produce an annual health and safety report to indicate how well they meet key performance indicators. They also need to produce an action plan to set out how improvements in health and safety performance will be made. Hand record

Details about specific performance indicators can be found in the appropriate supporting procedure.

The health and safety office provides an independent annual report for the vice-chancellor.

The annual health and safety reporting timetable requires reports to be based on the academic year.
