She moved to Solent in 2007 and worked with the Education Liaison and Widening Participation teams providing them with reports on student admissions, mapping qualifications from local FE providers and supporting Aim Higher and other activities that involved raising potential students' aspirations.
Samantha started her career with LT working as an e-Learning Support Officer, and became a Learning Technologist in December 2010. Her main projects to date have involved looking into the potential uses of Mahara as an ePorfolio system, developing help sites to assist with various learning technologies, assisting in the early development of Succeed@Solent, supporting courses on Solent Online Learning and myCourse. More recently she contributed to the Health, Innovation and Education Cluster's 'Inhaler Project'.
Samantha has presented at many external conferences including MoodleMoot UK, Mahara UK and the JISC eLearning Fair, and was a Technical Reviewer for current 'Mahara 1.4 Cookbook' by PACKT Publishing. She completed the PGCert in Blended Learning delivered at Southampton Solent University in 2011.
Outside of Solent, Samantha is a keen archer and has won many local and national awards and is also very keen to support her local dance school where she trained. You can find out more about her by going to her website - http://about.me/samwise.
