Bursary - How do I know if I'm getting a bursary?

Question:
Bursary - How do I know if I'm getting a bursary?
Answer:

To be assessed for the University bursary, you need to have applied for your funding through Student Finance England and have been means-tested.

The University bursary is based on household income, and you do not need to apply for it separately - as long as you gave permission to share your information with us on your Student Finance application form (you can contact SFE directly if you are unsure whether you have done this on 0300 100 0607) we will receive your financial information electronically and assess you. If you are entitled to the bursary, you will receive a letter from the University to your home address. The bursary is paid in 2 instalments, usually in February and May.

If you would like any more information on the busary, please visit Students 1st Support in RM011, or email bursary@solent.ac.uk
