The Student Achievement team invite you to join us for a walk.
It has been proven that being active could lead to a better quality of life. People are seen to experience benefits in the following areas:
Some good information to read on the importance of staying active can be found on the Government Health Matters website. Going for a walk at lunchtime is free and one of the easiest ways to get more active, become healthier and get your step count up.
We will be holding our walks on Thursdays at 1pm, meeting outside the Mountbatten Library. The first session on Thursday 5 July will involve an orienteering quiz, which will be repeated periodically.
Each week our steps will count towards a group goal, where we will collectively meet the challenge of walking to one of the following cities, over a six week block:

Thanks to Solent Sport, anyone who signs up for a six week block can borrow a pedometer to help track steps.
To take part you will need to complete a short PAR-Q form. This is available online, or can be filled out on the day:
