A drop in consultation with our healthy lifestyle advisors will involve assessments of some important health indicators including:

Height & weight

Blood Pressure

Resting Heart rate

Body Mass Index (BMI)

Body Composition: % body fat, % muscle mass

Hydration level
-
Metabolic age...and more!
This will be followed by advice and guidance and some useful resources to take away so you can start making steps towards a healthier lifestyle.
Our surgeries will be regular events, come along to future surgeries to monitor your progress and receive further advice, guidance and encouragement!
Please note the following important information about the assessments

The body composition test is not suitable for pregnant females, or subjects with pace makers, or any implanted electronic devices.

Subjects who suffer from disorders of heart rhythm, or women who are pregnant should have their blood pressure measured in consultation with their doctor.

Variations in body composition may occur premenstrually and during menstruation.

Please inform the instructor if you are on any medication.

You will be required to remove your shoes and socks during the body composition.
The following may affect results of the test: (Don't worry if you can't achieve all these 'ideal' conditions, do what you can)

Poor sleep the night before the test

Eating, or drinking 4 hours before test

Exercise 12 hours before test

Alcohol, or caffeine consumption 24 hours before test (soft drinks and energy drinks may contain caffeine

Smoking 2 hours before test
