Sickness Absence and Mitigation
Southampton Solent University does not require you to submit a certificate to confirm the reason for absence of less than one week. However, if your absence effects an examination or piece of assessed work, you will require a doctor's certificate to confirm any illness you are using in mitigation.
The doctor can only issue certificates to students they have seen during the illness.
