We hope you enjoy your time at the University and would like you to know that the Counselling team offers a service that may be of help if you are experiencing difficulties.
We are here to offer support if you are worried or troubled by a personal matter, or if you would like to explore changes and decisions you want to make about your life.
We offer individual face to face counselling to students throughout the year.
In addition to this, we are also able to offer workshops and groups, and hypnotherapy support to students to help cope with academic pressures. These usually become available after the Christmas break. Please click on the relevant links above for updated information.
Waiting Times for Appointments
Assessment Appointments - We are currently experiencing very high demand on appointments, and waiting times for Assessments are up to 2 weeks. We therefore encourage you to make these appointments as soon as you feel you would like to speak with someone.
Ongoing Appointments - The Service is experiencing a very high demand, and we are operating with a waiting list at the moment. We aim to offer ongoing sessions to students within 6 term-time weeks of them being added to the list.
Contact one of our counsellors or should you need support outside office hours then please contact the appropriate emergency service or your GP.
