Services for Visitors
The Library is open for members of the public to visit and use as a reference collection during the following hours:

08:30 - 21:00 Monday - Friday (term-time)

10:00 - 17:00 Saturday & Sunday (term-time)

vacation hours (these are advertised shortly before each vacation)
Access to the building outside of these times is by campus card only and is unavailable to members of the public.
Visitors to the library will need to sign in with ID at the foyer helpdesk before using the library.
The Library offers the following services:
Subscription Service for individuals
Members of the public may apply to use Mountbatten Library as a borrower. Subscribers are offered a book loans service (up to 4 three week loan items at a time).
Corporate Membership
Corporate Membership is directly available to groups wishing to subscribe on behalf of several named individuals.
Services for the Legal Profession
Mountbatten Library offers a variety of ways in which Legal Professionals can access Library resources.
Services for Franchised Colleges
Students from franchised colleges enrolled on a Southampton Solent University franchised course have borrowing rights.
We are also members of SCONUL Access for students from other higher education institutions.
Please note: Visitors and subscribers do not have access to the library's electronic resources or IT facilities.
