Services for Visitors
The Library is open for members of the public to visit and use as a reference collection. In addition the Library offers the following services:
Subscription Service for individuals: Members of the public may apply to use the Mountbatten Library as a borrower.
Visitors are offered a book loans service (maximum of 4 concurrent items) and have access to some electronic resources via the Learning Resource Centre on Floor 2A of the Library.
Corporate Membership is directly available to groups wishing to subscribe on behalf of several named individuals.
Services for the legal profession: Mountbatten Library offers a variety of ways in which Legal Professionals can access Library resources.
Services for Franchised Colleges: Students from franchised colleges enrolled on a Southampton Solent University franchised course have borrowing rights.
Note: We are also members of SCONUL Access for students from other higher education institutions.
