Former Solent staff

Former staffFormer members of staff at Solent University can continue to use the library for reference purposes only at no cost.

Former staff members who want to borrow items from us or take advantage of other services, need to become subscriber members.

Benefits of subscriber membership for former staff include:

  • Access to the Mountbatten Library and Warsash Maritime Academy Library whenever we are open.
  • Entitlement to borrow up to ten items at any one time.
  • Automatic loan renewals (so long as an item is not requested by another library user).
  • Photocopying and printing facilities at cost (subject to relevant copyright regulations).
  • A subsidised inter-library loan service - £50 for five inter-library loan vouchers.

Unfortunately, due to licensing restrictions, we are not currently able to offer access to our electronic resources to members of staff who are no longer associated with the University in any official capacity.

Price and payment

Subscriber membership for former staff members costs £50 per annum plus VAT (£60 in total).

You will need to pay online (using a debit or credit card) via the Solent Online Shop.
