Newspaper Licensing Agency (NLA) licence
The University has a licence with the Newspaper Licensing Agency ( NLA) which permits members of the University:

to make photocopies, both ad hoc and systematically as part of a press cuttings distribution service, of cuttings taken from NLA newspapers. You should not exceed 250 copies of one cutting without seeking further permission.

to fax cuttings taken from NLA newspapers.

to include photocopies of cuttings for inclusion in study packs ( up to a maximum of 250 copies without seeking further permission).

to project cuttings taken from those newspapers by illumination on to a screen.
The new comprehensive licence permits the copying of photographs, illustrations or advertisements as well as text. All copies should be annotated with the following text:
"NLA Licensed Copy. No further copies may be made except under licence".
National Newspapers
The licence is limited to copying and circulation of cuttings from the following national newspapers:
Please note that the Times Educational Supplement and the Times Higher Educational Supplement are NOT covered by this licence nor are any foreign language newspapers and can not be copied.

If the paper you require is not listed, you should contact the publishers direct about copyright.
TIP: you can make multiple PRINT copies of certain papers under the NLA licence. If you want a digital version, you may be able to find a copy of the article in one of the Library’s many newspaper databases.
