Apps Dashboard

Once logged into the Portal you will be able to make use of your 'Apps Dashboard'

The 'Apps Dashboard' is a view to some of your personalised applications such as favourite websites, favourite numbers and library loans, it is also used as a shortcut to popular applications, such as the phone book and your email, and to popular content such as news, events and sports results.

You will find the 'Apps Dashboard' on the home page after you have logged in.

 

You can choose which apps are displayed on your dashboard and you can show and hide apps dependent on what you want to see at a particular time. This is not possible with some apps, such as News, as we want this to be visible to you at all times. However you configure your apps it will be remembered for the next time you log into the portal.

To show or hide an app, click on the arrow symbol in the header of the particular app.

To delete an app, click on the cross symbol in the header of the app you wish to delete.

To add an app to your dashboard click on the blue 'Add Apps' button in the top right corner of the 'Apps Dashboard'. The apps that are available to add are in the top half of the screen (in a minimised (closed) state).

To add an app just drag it from the top half of the screen into the bottom half of the screen by clicking and holding the mouse over the grey app header and dragging it till a placeholder appears for the app to drop into.

In the example below you can see the sports app being dragged into a placeholder.

In the same way, you can drag apps around to change their position so you can have your favourite apps at the top.
