Earn extra money and develop your skills

WestQuay Shopping CentreWe are often asked by potential students “is there part-time work available in Southampton?”.

The quick answer is yes.Hundreds of students work in the city every year in retail, hospitality, catering, care, leisure and tourism. West Quay and Marlands shopping centres are good starting points for retail opportunities, and the bars and restaurants in Above Bar Street, Bedford Place, and Oxford Street frequently advertise vacancies.

Pick up a local map from the Student Hub (RM050) to find your way around.
