Graduate training schemes

Many employers offer graduate training schemes. These can be for a specific area of the business, such as human resources, or a general training scheme which offers training over all aspects of the business. The advantage of these schemes for recent graduates is that they are advertised widely, offer structured training, a competitive salary and often get you on a fast track progression.

If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, remember:

  • work hard on your course - some of these schemes have minimum grade requirements
  • applications are usually done online and to do it properly allow a few hours per application
  • apply early - some schemes give extra weight to early applications

Solent University has its own graduate scheme which is only open to Solent graduates.

Information on the Solent Graduate Scheme

Keep in mind that work placements and work experience are a way to improve access to graduate training scheme.

Enterprise Rent a Car
