Inter-Campus Bus Service 2013/14

The university administers an inter-campus bus service for students and staff. The service operates between our city campus and Warsash campus.

Who can use it?

As from Monday 2 September 2013, there will be a charge for student travel for all passengers (with exception to the courses listed below for whom bus travel forms part of their course fee).

A ‘pay as you go’ service will operate for all other student passengers, however it has a limited number of seats available and travel is not guaranteed. Any available seats will be offered on a first come, first served basis after the entitled students have boarded, payment will be made direct with the driver and travel charges will be as follows:

  • Single £2.00
  • Return £3.50

Students whom bus travel forms part of their course fee will have their campus card programmed to entitle them to the bus service, please ensure you have your campus card with you as this is your bus ticket. Failure to provide the driver with your campus card will incur the student to pay the normal fare.

During the first couple of weeks of arrival there will be a transition period to allow sufficient time for your card to be prepared and programmed; details of students entitled to the service as part of their course will be issued to the driver.
