Staff and student possessions

PossessionsSouthampton Solent University cannot accept responsibility for staff and student possessions whether stolen, lost or damaged on University premises.

The University campus requires open access for staff and students. This means that despite good security measures being in place, other people are also able to gain easy access to the campus.

All staff and students should avoid bringing valuables onto the campus. Staff and students should keep their personal possessions close to to them at all times, and should not leave them unattended.

When you leave a room please ensure that your possessions are locked away, even if you are only going to be gone for a few minutes, or if others are still in the room when you leave it.

Where property is stolen as a result of a forced entry or exit then reimbursement may be considered dependant on the circumstances, although an official Insurance claim is unlikely to be made.
