Penalties, Fines and the Congestion Charge
Southampton Solent University accepts no responsibility for any penalties
or fines etc, incurred by drivers on University business, whether as a result of speeding fines or other penalties. Given this information the University will not be held responsible in the event of prosecution.
Southampton Solent University requires its drivers to drive within the law and the Highway Code and take sufficient rest breaks as appropriate.
As guidance you should not drive for more than 2hrs or 120 miles without a 30 min break.
Drivers are responsible for paying the congestion charge prior to driving to London. This will be settled in advance by the University but any additional costs for failure to purchase in advance of travel will not be paid.
