Join a Club
Attending the Sports Fair that takes place during Freshers Week in September is the best way to get involved with the clubs that are available at Southampton Solent University.
This year the Sports Fair will be held on Thursday 27 September 2012 at Sports Centre St Mary's.
The Fair gives all students the opportunity to meet members of the teams and to find out about signing up for clubs and trials.
Don't worry if you missed the Sports Fair this year as you can still get involved with the clubs any time of the year. Just contact the Sports Development Team using the details below or come up to the Sport Solent offices above the Sports Hall (SH102) to see our staff in person.
When joining a club, you will need to pay a membership fee for the academic year and fill out a club membership form at the Sport Solent office. The fee will differ depending on the club you are looking to join. All students who join a sports club will receive an instant Bronze Membership with Sport Solent that will entitle them to unlimited free fitness classes throughout the year.
If there is a sport that you are interested in that is not a Sport Solent club at the moment, then our Sports Development team will help to set it up with you. Alternatively, our Sports Development team will direct you to any clubs in the local area that do take part in that sport.
