Estates and Facilities are pleased to announce the new contract appointment of Biffa, one of the UK's leading recycling-led waste management companies.
Southampton Solent as part of the Southern Universities Waste Management Consortium along with University of Southampton, University of Portsmouth, University of Winchester and Bournemouth University have appointed Biffa following an extensive European procurement tender to provide recycling-led waste management services across the Southern Universities.
The contract provides recycling-led waste management services that:

achieve increased levels of recycling

reduce waste to landfill

meet legislation
This contract includes full weights and measures approved "Pay by Weight" refuse disposal and the "Greenspace" co-mingled recycling service.
