We have recently refurbished the Built Environment Studio Centre to provide a better learning environment for the students in terms of space and IT provision.

The new space is:

  1. 50% larger than the previous space and the layout is split into two zones: formal Teaching zone, and informal Studio zone, the kind of thing you'd expect to see in the workplace.
  2. With the new facility, problems with access to specialist IT software (e.g. CAD) which has always been issue has now disappeared. The new space is equipped with more and better PCs and plotters. Students can use the room when not in classes which means they no longer have to 'hunt' for a PC which has the specialist software in the central IT centre.

The room has truly become a 'Home' for the Built Environment students.
