It is great getting additional Biomechanics qualifications as part of the Professional Practice in Personal Training unit, but can we have some video learning material on myCourse for the specialist techniques?

Students asked in a practical session at 1:30pm and by 3:30pm the videos had been shot and uploaded onto myCourse. Students can now see biomechanics techniques being performed correctly, which will help students to revise and practise.

Can we undertake more work with real life clients in the Advanced Training Principles and Professional Practice in Personal Training units?

By working with Health Spark to contact staff across the University 15 – 20 students are now working closely with members of University staff as clients, enabling students to improve their skills, and staff to enhance their health and fitness.

We struggled with the assessment on Research Methods for the Leisure Services Industry because we need the task to be clearer, with more support and more time on the practical skills for the statistics.

More timetabled sessions were scheduled in the IT areas, the assignment has been simplified, and more guidance has been given.
