Online Submissions
Important information for students
You need to be aware of changes that are taking place to online submission through TurnitIn- mainly to do with the electronic coversheet.
The University encourages you to submit on time, however should you need to, we now require you to tell us before you submit late.
You now have to indicate on the coversheet if the submission you are making is your final submission for the assignment OR that you are going to submit late. Effective immediately, you have to tell us that you are going to submit late before the normal (or on-time) deadline.
You cannot submit a piece of work on-time and then later choose to re-submit late.
These short videos from Learning Technologies talk you through the process. The video includes screengrabs of the new coversheet.
You must have the latest Flash player to see this video.
In the second part of the video Domi Renalut will run through the different scenarios on how to use the electronic coversheet including changes to extenuating circumstances.

Extenuating circumstances
The coversheet also has a tick box for you to tell your tutor that you are applying for extenuating circumstances. You still need to complete a paper form and hand it in to your faculty office.
Remember
-
Give yourself time - it is best to submit at least 24 hours before the deadline
-
Copy and paste your work onto the coversheet - this will preserve your formatting
-
General help for online submission regarding file size and other topics is available at the succeed@solent tutorial about submitting online to Turnitin.
If you are still unclear about any of the changes please contact your faculty office.
